Squealing or grinding brakes
That noise is usually the pads letting you know they're worn. Catching it early keeps it from reaching the rotors.

Read the signs
You don't have to be a mechanic to know when something's off. Here's what these common symptoms usually mean — no scare tactics, just a heads-up.
That noise is usually the pads letting you know they're worn. Catching it early keeps it from reaching the rotors.
A glowing light isn't always urgent — but it's your car asking for a proper scan so you know what's really going on.
Shaking at a stop or a stumble when you accelerate often traces back to something simple — plugs, a sensor, or airflow.
Fresh spots on the driveway could be oil, coolant, or brake fluid. Which one it is tells us how soon to look.
When cold air turns lukewarm, it's usually low refrigerant or a tired compressor — a quick thing to check.
Past due for an oil change or scheduled service? Staying on schedule is the cheapest way to dodge the big repairs.
About Us
My Mechanic was started by Kimberly De Jong and her business partner Adele Allen — two people who got tired of the up-sell pitch waiting at the counter every time they dropped off a car. Their whole idea is simple: prioritize what your vehicle truly needs today, be straight about what can wait, and treat you like a neighbor instead of a sales target. Experienced, certified technicians do the work, and you get a clear explanation when you pick your car up, not a lecture. It's the kind of shop where people stick around for years — and bring their next car back too.
We prioritize what your vehicle truly needs now and what can safely wait — you'll never be pressured into work that isn't necessary.
Peace of mind knowing you have a friend down the street: honest service from experienced, certified technicians at a reasonable price.
Kimberly and Adele started My Mechanic to end the intimidation and dread most people feel at the shop — and to earn your trust the honest way.

These guys are truly the nicest people ever. Helped me twice in one week with my check engine light on my Subaru and took me in same day, even on Christmas Eve! They helped calm my nerves and are so knowledgeable and you can tell they truly care about their customers. I can not thank them and recommend them enough!
Absolutely top 1% mechanic in the metro area. My Mechanic is the definition for fairness and honesty. They are not out to over charge and won't do work that's not needed. Incredible customer service, technicians, integrity and quality top to bottom. Maybe only a handful of mechanic shops like this in the metro area. Keep up the great work My Mechanic!
Barely made it to My Mechanic before I could say anything, they had a mechanic checking my battery and alternator. Bad alternator on a Friday afternoon — they were able to order the part and install in less than 2.5 hours, with no up-sale. We've been a customer for over 10 years, it's been a pleasure. Nobody better on this side of town.
If I could give them 10 stars I would! Another shop's cheap oil change left my car leaking oil — the wrong filter had been put in. My Mechanic thoroughly looked over my car, cleaned it up, and did the oil change right. They give you a ton of information about your car when you pick it up and explain everything. I will never fall for one of those cheap oil change coupons again.
